What is being asked?
The interviewers want to see how you deal with adversity in your life. Everybody has struggles, and we all need mechanisms for coping with them. We all grow from hardship. You want to showcase this growth.
When answering a question about hardship, start by identifying the problem in your life personal, professional, or from any other sphere and then go on to say both how it affected you and how you moved past it and grew as a person.
What lessons did you learn? How did you grow? Did you become stronger? How has your life changed since going through this ordeal?
Answers to those questions should be contained within your larger answer.

A note on difficulty:
Some difficulties are troubling, but far enough in the past, or not as damaging in the long term, and they are excellent ways to showcase your ability to deal with struggles, manage stress, and rebound from hardship.
Other difficult and troubling times in our lives carry trauma. If you have an event of that magnitude which you might talk about in your Harvard medical school interview, only you can decide if you want to use it in your answer.

Nurses are masters at multitasking – for example, managing multiple patients, administering medication on time while maintaining detailed notes. Tell stories about your punctuality, ability to meet deadlines and how you remain organized through it all.

Give an example of a time you had to prioritize your tasks quickly. Explain your thought process in detail and why you chose to complete the duties in such an order.
Working in an ICU setting is extremely fast-paced and it is essential to prioritize your tasks for the day. At the beginning of the shift, I make a to-do list with everything that needs to be accomplished. I put the must-do things at the top of the list and the things I would like to do at the bottom. Administering medications are placed at the top of the list and washing a patients hair is further down. While I would love to accomplish everything, it just isnt possible.
2. Describe your experience with a very ill patient who required a lot of your time. How did you manage this patients care while ensuring your other patients were adequately cared for?
Talk about the patients care and why they needed much of your time. What was the illness, trauma or injury? How did you ensure that this patient received quality care? How did you manage your other patients?
Describe Your Daily Routine As A Care Worker
The interviewer is interested in learning about your everyday routine. Give them a daily schedule that starts with the first activity and ends with the last activity.
My day starts early in the morning, after a quick jog around my block, with a shower and a cup of tea to be ready for the day ahead. Following that, I check my calendar to see what my day has in store for me and rush out to check on my first client and administer my care.

Its important to make sure that you let anyone know if you are not comfortable with doing something. Employers arent just looking for someone who will orders or follow procedures in a situation it wont make sense. I would make sure to let them know if it was something I wasnt comfortable with because I wasnt trained- I would request to watch and then do so I can learn and be available next time. If it is a task that I am not comfortable with because I think it is against policy, I would politely decline and follow up with why I am not able to perform the task and to let me know if the policy changes and I can review the task again.

There are certain things one can do to support your overall health. For example, you should drink water instead of sugary drinks. You should avoid a lot of sugar and starches in your meals. You should brush regularly using fluoride toothpaste. Use a soft brush and do not brush aggressively. You should also consider using mouthwash. Avoid smoking as that will lead to decay of your teeth and other complications such as lung cancer. Lastly, I would advise that you go for regular checkups so that any issues can be noticed early.
Continuing Education License Certifications
Find out if the company youre interviewing with offers access to online CEUs, or if theyll reimburse you for continuing education courses you may take. If the agency offers Hospice care, then youll likely have to complete a certain number of hours of training per year. For me, thats six hours, and my company provides it.
Your agency may also offer in-person inservices that may count towards continuing education requirements.
Some companies reimburse the cost of license or certification fees. These may include the ASHA CCCs, your state license, CPR, and specialty certifications such as FEES, MBS-IMP, LSVT LOUD, or Vital-Stim.
