Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are going to open up about their decision to step back as senior members of the Royal Family in an interview with US chat show host Oprah Winfrey.
The programme has already attracted attention on both sides of the Atlantic and dramatic preview clips released earlier this week gave a hint of what the trio will be talking about.
The show, called Oprah with Meghan and Harry, was originally billed as a 90-minute programme, but it has been extended to run for two hours.
It is being produced by Winfreys Harpo network and will be shown on CBS in the US on Sunday 7 March.
It’s Making Big Bucks For Some
American broadcaster CBS is paying a licencing fee of between $US7 and $US9 million to air the interview, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal.
The newspaper said Winfrey’s media company Harpo Productions also pitched the interview to NBC and Disney.
CBS is reportedly charging $US325,000 for 30-second ads during the broadcast.
However, it doesn’t sound like the Sussexes are in it for the money.
A spokeswoman for Prince Harry and Meghan told the Wall Street Journal the couple were not being compensated for the interview.

Why Is Oprah Interviewing Harry And Meghan
Oprah is friendly with the couple: She attended Harry and Meghan’s wedding in May 2018, and Winfrey helped the couple get settled in the community. She previously partnered with Harry on a mental health documentary for Apple TV+.
Oprah has longstanding business ties with CBS, but she maintained control of the interview all along via her production company, Harpo. Her company crafted the interview plan and brought it to CBS.
Winfrey is one of the most renowned interviewers in the world. Sunday night’s broadcast which could lift the lid on a litany of frustrations and grievances held by the couple against the royal institution they quit last year.
Harpo and CBS announced the US premiere, and then the global distribution arm of ViacomCBS Global lined up other international broadcasters from Australia to Switzerland.
What Will Harry And Meghan Talk About With Oprah Winfrey
The first part of the interview will only feature Meghan talking one-on-one with Winfrey.
The two women are friends and Winfrey has promoted a vegan latte company which Meghan invested in on her social media, but Winfrey has said no area is off-limits during the special.
Meghan will talk about her life in the Royal Family, her marriage, motherhood and philanthropic work.
The 39-year-old, who is pregnant with her second child, will also talk about how she is handling life under intense public pressure.
Then Harry will join the two women for the second portion of the show, where he will talk about their move to the US, and their hopes and dreams for their expanding family.
Harry, 36, is also going to talk about his mother, Princess Diana, as was trailed in a clip shared by CBS ahead of the show on Sunday evening.
In the clip he said: Im just really relieved and happy to be sitting here, talking to you, with my wife by my side, because I cant begin to imagine what it must have been like for her , going through this process by herself, all those years ago.
