What Will Harry And Meghan Talk About With Oprah Winfrey
The first part of the interview will only feature Meghan talking one-on-one with Winfrey.
The two women are friends and Winfrey has promoted a vegan latte company which Meghan invested in on her social media, but Winfrey has said no area is off-limits during the special.
Meghan will talk about her life in the Royal Family, her marriage, motherhood and philanthropic work.
The 39-year-old, who is pregnant with her second child, will also talk about how she is handling life under intense public pressure.
Then Harry will join the two women for the second portion of the show, where he will talk about their move to the US, and their hopes and dreams for their expanding family.
Harry, 36, is also going to talk about his mother, Princess Diana, as was trailed in a clip shared by CBS ahead of the show on Sunday evening.
In the clip he said: Im just really relieved and happy to be sitting here, talking to you, with my wife by my side, because I cant begin to imagine what it must have been like for her , going through this process by herself, all those years ago.
Meghan Says Kate Made Her Cry In Bridesmaid Dress Incident Not The Reverse
Oprah asked Meghan about an incident reported in the British tabloids that her sister-in-law Catherine made her cry. But Meghan said the situation was actually the reverse.
According to Meghan, Catherine was the one who made Meghan cry about flower girl dresses, and Catherine apologized later and brought her flowers and a note.
However, the tabloid rumors were just some of many unfavorable headlines toward Meghan that she says were constructed to fit into a polarizing narrative of a “hero and a villain.”
While Meghan refused to speak unfairly about Catherine since she said she has forgiven her, she did make it a point to acknowledge that everyone in the royal family knew the true story and chose not to tell it.
Andrews Siblings Rule He Must Not Return
Prince Andrews siblings decided nine months ago there was no way back for the scandal-hit royal, we can reveal.
Charles, Anne and Edward held a summit in January where they ruled the Duke of York should never return to public life.
It was reported last night that Prince William sees his uncle as a threat to the monarchys future.
Andrew, 61, harbours a return to royal life despite facing a sex abuse lawsuit in the US.
A source said: Nine months ago Charles, Anne and Edward had a meeting, a summit, and agreed there was no way back for him.
Meanwhile, sources close to future king Wills revealed to The Sunday Times how he thinks Andrew has an ungracious and ungrateful attitude to his position.

If You Or Anyone You Know Needs Help:
Later, the two are joined by Prince Harry as they speak about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family.
Winfrey said there was no subject thats off limits in the interview.
On Friday, CBS This Morning aired a clip with the pair discussing Winfreys call to Meghan to ask for an interview prior to her wedding.
In 2018, the duchess told Winfrey its not the right time.
But Meghan said so many things had changed since then.
At the beginning of last year, Harry and Meghan announced they were stepping back as senior Royals on social media, with the couples resignation as working Royals being formalised last month.
We have the ability to make our own choices in a way that I couldnt have said yes to you then that wasnt my choice to make, Meghan said.
So, as an adult who lived a really independent life to then go into this construct that is different than I think what people imagine it to be its really liberating to be able to have the right and the privilege, in some ways, to be able to say yes Im ready to talk.
To be able to make a choice on your own and just be able to speak for yourself.
A few days ago, another preview clip featured the duchess being asked how she felt about the palace hearing her speak out.
And if that comes with risk of losing things I mean, theres a lot thats been lost already.
Reactions Of The Royal Family And The Markle Family
According to BBC News, the interview led to crisis meetings involving senior royals. On March 9, Buckingham Palace released a statement in response, saying: The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members. When asked about the interview by the reporters during a visit to an East London school on March 11, Prince William responded to the allegations of racism by saying, Were very much not a racist family. Reporting on the couples relationship with the royal family, CBS This Morning presenter Gayle King stated that Harry had started conversations with his father and brother but those conversations were not productive. In response to the allegations of racism, a source close to the palace stated that in order to tackle the issue they had the policies, the procedures and programmes in place but we havent seen the progress we would like in terms of representation and more needs to be done, we can always improve. They added that it was too early to announce any firm plans, but the royal family was supportive of the idea to have someone in charge of diversity and inclusion in the royal households.
The tell-all sit-down certainly got tongues wagging, with royal commentators, media personalities, politicians and more all weighing in on the interviews revelations.

What Happened During The Interview
During the two-hour sit-down, Meghan and Harry spoke at length about their experience as working members of the royal family, in which race, mental health, and many more issues were raised. They also discussed the harsh treatment they faced not only by the British tabloids but from members of ‘The Firm’ itself.
Among the most shocking allegations was that there were concerns and conversations about how dark their child’s skin might be from an unknown member of the family. Meghan went on to claim “They were saying they didn’t want him to be a prince or princess, which would be different from protocol, and that he wasn’t going to receive security.”
Meghan also revealed that during her time as a working royal, she experienced suicidal thoughts and sought help from palace HR, but was ignored.
“I was told that I couldn’t , that it wouldn’t be good for the institution,” Meghan told Oprah.
During the second half of the interview, Harry joined Meghan, revealing that he felt trapped and didnt see a way out of royal life, until his marriage to Meghan. Without question she saved me, he said.
In another segment, Harry claimed that his “biggest concern was history repeating itself,” referring to his late mother, Princess Diana, who was notably hounded by the British press before being killed in a car crash in 1997, after her vehicle was chased by paparazzi.
Harry And Meghan Detail Royal Struggles From Discussions Of Baby’s Skin Tone To Suicidal Thoughts
Conversations about “how dark” their baby’s skin tone would be. A rift between Prince Harry and his father so deep that Harry said his father at one point “stopped taking my calls.” And Meghan, Duchess of Sussex saying she “just didn’t want to be alive anymore.”
These were some of the shocking details described by Harry and Meghan in an exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey, the first they have given since they stepped away from official royal duties last year. They said they would have stayed had they gotten support from the royal family.
In one of the only lighthearted moments, the couple revealed their second child, expected this summer, will be a girl.
But Harry and Meghan spent most of the discussion trying to give their side of many of the tabloid stories that have circulated about them since they got together, including one about how Meghan had once made her sister-in-law, Catherine, cry.
While they had harsh words for their treatment in the press, the most disturbing parts of the interview centered on how they were treated by members of the royal family. Harry said he had a “really good relationship” with the Queen, but said he was “disappointed” by his father and that, while he loves his brother William “to bits,” they’re on “different paths.”
More portions of the interview aired on Monday exclusively on “CBS This Morning.”

My Father And My Brother They Are Trapped Harry Says
Harry revealed to Oprah that the turning point between Meghan and the royal family happened after their Australia tour, when members of the crown got jealous over the “effortless” way Megan connected with the people and the commonwealth.
However, Meghan said that she did not receive royal training, and was instead up late and night googling protocols like the national anthem to prevent embarrassment.
“I just wanted to make them proud,” said Meghan.
She also denied having plans to leave the monarchy when she and Prince Harry started dating. Instead, Harry said that he never would have left if he hadn’t married Meghan, but only because their relationship opened his eyes to how he was trapped by the “Institution” he was born into.
“My father and my brother, they are trapped. They don’t get to leave,” said Harry. “And I have compassion for that.”
What Has The Reaction Been To The Interview Itself
Washington Post columnist Margaret Sullivan said Oprah Winfrey “proved herself to be the best celebrity interviewer ever”.
“Oprah best displayed her interviewing chops by relentlessly circling back to emotional or newsmaking comments like a heat-seeking missile,” Sullivan wrote in a Perspective column.
“Not much was allowed to simply disappear in a flurry of words, as happens far too often in interviews. Oprah did not let the couple get away with general hints or diplomatic niceties.”
Vox columnist Emily VanDerWerff also praised Oprah’s interview style, saying, “she was the only person who could conduct the Harry and Meghan interview”.
“Oprah excels at creating a friendly, warm atmosphere in which famous people feel as though they can share their innermost thoughts,”VanDerWerff wrote.
“It’s not clear how much the Meghan and Harry interview happened roughly as presented on television, or if it was edited to create a more coherent progression of its subjects thoughts .
“But Oprah’s genius lies less in the overall scope of an interview and more in the micromanagement of individual moments.
“An interview subject can say something shocking, and Oprah is skilled at guiding the exchange so that it plays out to its fullest effect, while giving the subject space to process their thoughts and decide whether they want to share more.”

I Could Not Feel Lonelier Meghan Said About Her Time With The Royal Family
According to Meghan, she was silenced during her time as a senior official of the royal family.
In a quiet moment with Oprah, Meghan revealed she was under the belief that in exchange for not commenting on her life, she would be protected, something she found out was not true.
Meghan said it was important to make a distinction between some members of the royal family and the administration that runs the family. For instance, she said the Queen had always been wonderful to her, even going so far as to share a blanket with her during their first press tour.
However, she was forced to stay at home for fear of “oversaturation,” something that she likened to being in COVID-19 lockdown.
“It’s nothing like what it looks like,” she said.
