Originally slated to be an hour-and-a-half, the length of the primetime special was extended to two hours. After all, there was a lot to cover.
The interview consisted of two sections. First, Oprah had a one-on-one chat with Meghan, discussing everything from her expectations of life as royal, her son’s title , and her relationship with Kate Middleton. She also opened up about experiencing thoughts about suicide.
On his end, Harry touched on the connection he feels with his mother, Princess Diana, who also left the royal family after her divorce from Prince Charles. “I can’t imagine what it must have been like for her going through this process by herself all those years ago. It has been unbelievably tough for the two of us, but at least we have each other,” he said. Harry added that his biggest concern was “history repeating itself,” seemingly referring to his mother’s tragic death.

Meghan will actually be interviewed on the programme surprisingly soon, with Ellen revealing it would air on Thursday, November 18.
The Ellen Show airs on CBS in America, broadcasting at 3pm Eastern Time .
The chat will be the second sit-down talk to be aired after her explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey alongside husband Prince Harry last year.

Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex will appear on TV this month, for the first time since her explosive interview with Oprah earlier this year.
A surprise teaser video of the Suits star chatting to Ellen DeGeneres made the news yesterday, The Mirror reports.

After Meghan described the conversations about how Archie would not be given the title of prince and how he wouldn’t have security, Meghan said there were discussions while she was pregnant about “how dark” Archie’s skin color would be.
“In the months when I was pregnant, all around the same time, so we have in tandem the conversation of he won’t be given security, he’s not going to be given a title, and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born,” Meghan said.
“What?” Oprah asked. “Who is having that conversation with you? What?”
