One of the biggest differences between Interview with the Vampire movie and the television adaptation is the period in which they take place. The movie sees Louis transformed into a vampire in 1791, whereas the TV series moves the timeline up to 1910. This update is done for character reasons on Louis’ part, but also changes the dynamic between Louis and Lestat as now the two have less time together before Louis breaks away from his maker.

The other major change is in terms of the present framing device. The Interview with the Vampire film saw the interview taking place for the first time in the then present-day, 1994. The television show, though, reframes the interview in two parts. The primary interview with the audience takes place in the present 2022 , but this is the second interview being conducted by reporter Daniel Molloy. There was a prior interview done when he was a younger man, where he reportedly asked to be turned into a vampire like at the end of the first movie. The series stars Jacob Anderson as the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac as he recounts his life story to journalist Daniel Molloy , focused on the years he spent with the vampire Lestat and child vampire Claudia . Its Season 1 finale was a bloody, scream-inducing thrill ride, and though it was renewed for a second season before the first even finished airing, you might be looking for another show to hold you over in the meantime.

Some time later, Anne received a special delivery letter from Stan Rice asking her to marry him. They married on October 14, 1961, in Denton, Texas, soon after she turned twenty years old, and when he was just weeks from his nineteenth birthday.

A teaser trailer has been shared for AMCs forthcoming TV adaptation of Interview With The Vampire watch it below.

The latest take on the franchise sees Sam Reid takes over the role of Lestat de Lioncourt, with Jacob Anderson , Eric Bogosian , and Bailey Bass also set to feature.

Rolin Jones is creating, showrunning, and writing the series , which is expected to air on AMC and AMC+ later this year. Alan Taylor is directing the first two of seven total first season episodes.

Its been over a month since AMC released a teaser for its upcoming Interview With the Vampire series, but now, thanks to new key art, were getting a bit more of a look at the highly anticipated adaptation of the Anne Rice classic. Last week, the official Twitter account for the series released three images bearing quotes from the series one from Daniel Molloy, one from Claudia, and one from Louis de Pointe du Lac. Each of the quotes are a bit out of context considering that the series isnt expected to arrive until this fall, but they do give fans a taste of whats to come.
