Megan Thee Stallion sat down with Gayle King on CBS Mornings to discuss the 2020 incident in Los Angeles that left her foot injured by two gun shots. Megan has previously identified her alleged assailant as rapper Tory Lanez, whom she claimed shot her from inside an SUV following a verbal altercation. Lanez was arrested on a felony gun charge the night of the incident and was later charged with felony assault in connection with his arrest. Lanez has since pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Later in the segment, Megan detailed her experience at Cedars Sinai Hospital after the shooting, sharing part of a medical report indicating that she still has small bullet fragments remaining in one of her feet. The report also revealed text messages, allegedly between another passenger in the car and Lanezs security guard, reading, Help, Tory shot Meg. Watch the interview below.
Lanez was subsequently handed a protective order stating that he cannot contact or come within 100 yards of Megan Thee Stallion. Lanez pleaded not guilty to assault with a semiautomatic handgun in November of 2020. Last August, Lanez violated the terms of the protective order when he appeared at Rolling Loud Miami. The rapper made an unannounced appearance during DaBabys set just after Megan Thee Stallion left the festival stage. Lanezs bail was increased following the violation.

Megan Thee Stallion is doing her first sit-down interview to talk about what happened with Tory Lanez — and so far, it sounds like an emotional story.
The rapper is going to get in the weeds about what she claims happened Monday morning with Gayle King, and on Sunday … CBS aired a portion of MTS’s remarks, which show her getting incredibly teary-eyed as she recounts the alleged blow-by-blow.
In her own words, Meg says there were 3 of them in the car that night — and that the other two people, including TL, didn’t want to leave whatever party they were at … but she did.
As you know … Tory’s been charged in connection to her injuries — shrapnel being lodged into her feet — although he’s pled not guilty and denied wrongdoing. We haven’t really heard his side of the story in great detail, and probably won’t until their trial starts in September.
Tory’s been banned from talking about the case and from addressing Meg directly — so he won’t be able to speak as freely as she is here until his day in court comes around. He’s already gotten in trouble for this once in recent weeks … so he’ll have to zip it for a while.

Grammy Award-winning recording artist Megan Thee Stallion has spoken out for the first time since the aftermath of her traumatic 2020 shooting and the impact the incident had on her both personally and professionally.
The Houston rapper and CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King chatted exclusively about Megans successful career and the night in the Hollywood Hills that almost derailed it all after accusing rapper Tory Lanez of shooting her in the foot.
The interview premiered on Monday on CBS Mornings where the superstar detailed the night of the shooting.

As she further explained the incident that took place in a parked car, Megan claims that Lanez was “standing up over the window, shooting” at her.
So, I get out the car and it’s like, everything happens so fast, she shares with King. And all I hear is this man screaming, he said, ‘Dance, b!’ And he started shooting. I’m just like, ‘Oh my God.’ He shot a couple of times.
Megan also explained how her life has changed since the shooting.

What Happened To Tory Lanez
After the shooting, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office charged Tory Lanez with felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, personal use of a firearm, and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
He pleaded not guilty to all charges and is expected in court in September 2022.

Aside from joining the MCU, Megan Thee Stallion also landed a role in A24s upcoming musical comedyFking Identical Twins.In July, she landed a guest spot on Starzs hit series P-Valley where she played her rap alter ego, Tina Snow.
Her P-Valley costar J. Alphonse Nicholson emphasized that Megan has the talent needed for filmmaking.

She then exited the vehicle they were in, at which time, Lanez allegedly began firing a gun at her.
“So I get out of the car and it’s like everything happens so fast,” she continued.
“And all I hear is this man screaming. And he said, ‘Dance, b***h.’
Megan added: “And he started shooting. And I’m just like, ‘Oh, my God.’
“Like, he shot a couple of times. And I was so scared.”
When asked where he was shooting from, Megan responded: “He standing up over the window shooting.”
She continued: “And I didn’t even want to move. I didn’t want to move too quick.
“I don’t know if he could shoot me and kill me.”
She described the shock and adrenaline running through her veins as she looked down at her feet and realized she was bleeding.
“So I look down at my feet and I’m like ‘Oh my God, I’m really bleeding,’ so I drop down and I like, crawl into somebody’s driveway.”
She said that after the shooting stopped, Lanez immediately began apologizing, begging Megan and her friends not to tell anyone, and he allegedly offered them money if they would stay quiet.
“And I was just like, ‘If you’re sorry, then help me’,” she described.
She said that they didn’t even make it back to the house before helicopters and police started swarming.
“I was like ‘Oh my God, we all about to die,'”
“The George Floyd incident had just happened the police are definitely very much like, shoot first, ask questions after.”
Megan described the fear that “something bad was about to happen.”

Megan Thee Stallions first televised interview about the July 2020 incident in which Tory Lanez allegedly shot her aired on CBS on Monday. The rapper sat down with Gayle King to talk about it.
He is standin up over the window shooting, Megan continued. And I didnt even want to move. I didnt want to move too quick. Like, cause Im like, Oh, my God. If I take the wrong step, I dont know if hes gonna shoot something thats, like, super important. I dont know if he could shoot me and kill me.’
Megan also said that Lanez offered her money if she would keep quiet. Hes , Im so sorry. Please dont tell nobody. Ill give yall a million dollars if yall dont say nothing,’ the rapper said. And Im like, What are you talking about? Like, Why are you offering me money right now? Help me. Like, and if you sorry, just help me!
She also talked about her behavior in the months following the shooting. Im trying to be as nice as I can to everybody new people, I probably wont even hold a conversation longer than 30 minutes cause I feel like every time Im talking, Im, like, on the verge of tears and I dont want to have to explain to strangers why Im crying, she said. Its too much. I feel crazy. Im sad and I feel like I have to hold it in.

During the sit-down, Megs graphic wounds were shown and there was a medical report citing noting that she STILL has remnants of bullet fragments in her feet. CBS News also said they obtained an official text message from Kelseys phone that read, Help, Tory shot Meg!

On April 5, 2022, Lanez was once again arrested in relation to the case, this time for allegedly violating the terms of a pre-trial protective order.
The Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge David Herriford ruled some of Lanez’s social media posts seem to be directed at Megan and ordered him to make no further public mention of her or the case.
The Rapper Will Make A Cameo Appearance Playing Herself
Megan Thee Stallion is adding a new title to her filmography, officially joining the with her debut in Disney Plus series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
The rapper has been cast as herself for a cameo appearance in a new episode of the show. As revealed by Deadline, the Grammy-winning artist gets involved in a legal case handled by Augustus Pug Pugliese . What Did Megan Thee Stallion Say About Tory Lanez
In the interview, Megan also disclosed the nature of her relationship with Tory Lanez at the time of the alleged shooting.
She claimed that they were not dating and did not have a sexual relationship.
“We were really close,” she said, “we were friends, we hung out like every day.”
She said that her anxiety is much worse these days and that her relationships with other people are much “colder” than they used to be.
She said she feels that she needs to be strong and hold it together for “so many people.”
To the people who don’t believe her, she said: “I’m a victim. I’m the victim, like I’m not defending myself against anything.”

On April 25, Megan Thee Stallions full interview with Gayle King finally aired on CBS Mornings, and the viral sit down gave fans more insight into the Grammy-award-winners alleged shooting incident with rapper Tory Lanez back in July 2020.
During the extended interview, the Hot Girl Summer hitmaker became overwhelmed with emotion as she recalled the moments leading up to the alleged shooting. After partying all night at Kylie Jenners house in the Hollywood Hills, the Houston rapper said that she left with Tory, her close friend Kelsey Harris a.k.a.
